The former students of Avadh Girls’ Degree College walked down memory lane at the annual general meeting of the Avadh Alumnae Association held on Sunday evening at the college campus. “The meet has been organised for the passouts from the 70s to the present year,” informed Nidhi Prakash, vice president of the alumnae association. An excited Anupriya Agarwal said, “It’s a pleasure to meet all my friends and teachers and share happy memories together.
Coming back here reminded me of all the good times I have spent in this college,” . The do kick-started with a dance performance by Baijanti Nath on a classical number followed by another dance performance by Chandini and group on the song Main Tera Boyfriend.
However, the most awaited part of the evening was the fashion show in which the alumnae sizzled on the stage. The various rounds of the fashion show revolved around the theme, Different States of India. From a South Indian to a Bengali – the ladies walked the ramp wearing attires of various states. The femme brigade also had a great time dancing to the latest Bollywood tracks belted out by the DJ. And soon after the dancing was over,Upma Chaturvedi, principal of the college, addressed the gathering. The evening concluded with an extravagant Lakhnawi chaat party for the guests. — Chari Arora
